Stored every attempt as an append-only row and built the replay console on top of it. Support could answer "did you send it?" themselves, which removed most of the tickets that reached engineering.
Context
Customers depended on webhooks to provision accounts, and when a delivery failed nobody could say whether it had been sent at all.
What I did
Relay queues each event, signs it, and retries with exponential backoff. Every attempt is stored as an append-only row, and a replay console on top of that table lets support resend any event to any endpoint.
Result
99.98% delivery over 14 months, and delivery questions stopped reaching engineering: support answers them from the console.
